I am a tutor of Business English, Legal English and IELTS. I have a degree from Oxford University, and I am a non-practising solicitor under my legal name, Jacqui Adams. I ask to be called John because I am nonbinary. I am TEFL qualified and offer one-to-one lessons online.
I REGRET THAT DUE TO SEVERE AND ONGOING BACK PROBLEMS I AM NO LONGER ABLE TO OFFER TEFL LESSONS.

Assistant Solicitor, DLA
I practised as an Assistant Solicitor in the Banking and Finance Litigation Department of DLA, one of the world's largest law firms.
Trainee Solicitor, Shakespeares Solicitors
I qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales with Birmingham law firm Shakespeares after a two-year training contract.
Business Analyst, Datamonitor
After I graduated from Oxford, I worked as a Business Analyst before I went to Law College.

I went to Oxford from my local state school and sixth form college, so I've stayed grounded.
Somerville College, Oxford
I read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Somerville College, Oxford. My three-year degree focused on all three subjects in the first year. For finals, I specialised in Economics and Philosophy.
College of Law, London
I spent two years at the College of Law in London studying for the PgDip Law and the Legal Practice Course.

My TEFL Advanced Diploma at Level 5 included modules in Business English, One-to-One and Online Lessons, Teaching Other Subjects in English and IELTS in addition to the core skills required to Teach English as a Second Language.
